“Hello, I just made a transfer from one Barclays account to another, and the money was withdrawn from one and not placed in the other?” says a customer.
Another customer tweeted, “Sent money and it’s gone.”
Another confirmed: ‘Yeah I just transferred some money and it’s gone now.’
Customers are reporting an RPS01 error on the app.
According to the Barclays website, the RPS01 error displays this message:
Sorry, something went wrong and your payment may not have gone through. Do not attempt to make another payment. You should verify your account after 4 hours, and if the payment has not been processed, you will need to resubmit it.
The error code suggests that the payment system is not working. Barclays asks customers not to try to resubmit payment as the issue usually resolves itself within four hours.
Barclays advised people to clear their cache and cookies on their devices earlier in the evening.
Customers can visit the website and sign up to receive a message when the services are back up and running.
