But online banking has made the whole process very easy. Some of the banks that offer this online facility are State Bank of India (SBI) and Punjab National Bank (PNB).

How to change SBI Online bank branch?

Step 1: SBI customers can visit the bank’s official website – www.onlinesbi.com.

2nd step: Use your login credentials to access your net banking. New users will need to create an ID.

Step 3: Once connected, click on the ‘e-services’ tab.

Step 4: Now click on “Savings Account Transfer” under the quick links.

Step 5: A new page will open. Now select the account you want to transfer. If you only have one SBI account, it will be selected by default.

Step 6: Now enter the branch code where you want to transfer your account.

Step 7: Click on ‘get agency code’ and select the agency.

Step 8: Enter the name of the new branch in the required field and click submit after accepting the terms and conditions.

Step 9: Will now get an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter it and your bank branch transfer request will be saved.

Step 10: In a few days, your branch will be transferred.

How to change the bank branch of PNB Online?

Step 1: Visit the official website (pnbindia.in) and log in using your credentials.

2nd step: Select ‘Other services’. You will now need to click on “Change Host Branch” under “Service Request and Tracking”.

Step 3: Select your bank account and click ‘Continue’.

Step 4: Select the branch ID where you want to transfer your bank account and click “Continue”.

Step 5: Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 6: Submit the request and follow the instructions. Your bank branch will be updated in a few days.
