● BBC learning: bbc.co.uk/learning/coursesearch – This site is old and no longer updated yet there is still so much available, from language learning to BBC Bitesize for review. No TV license required except for content on BBC iPlayer.

● futurelearn: futurelearn.com – Free access to hundreds of courses, only pay to upgrade if you need a certificate in your name (own account from 14 years old, but young learners can use a parent account) .

● Seneca: senecalearning.com – For those revising at GCSE or A level. Tons of free revision content. Paid access to higher level material.

● Openlearn: open.edu/openlearn – Free introductory courses for those considering the Open University, but anyone can access them. Adult level, but some courses on nature and the environment, for example, could interest young people.

● Blockly: blockly.games – Learn computer programming skills.
