The purpose of the AGM is to allow shareholders of the Company to consider and, if appropriate, approve the change of name of the Company from “China Online Education Group” to “51Talk Online Education Group”. The proposed name change will have no impact on the rights of shareholders or on the activities and financial situation of the Company.

The Board of Directors of the Company has fixed the closing of the offices on August 22, 2022 as the date of record (the “Record Date”) to determine the shareholders entitled to receive notice of the AGM or any adjourned or postponed meeting thereof.
