Public Holidays in November 2021: As there are only a few days left for the month of November to end, it is important for all bank customers to know that banks will remain closed for 5 days over the coming week (including Saturdays and Sundays). The list of public holidays is published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and it grants public holidays to banks in three categories. The three categories include public holidays under the Tradable Instruments Act, public holidays under the Tradable Instruments Act and real-time gross settlement holidays and bank account closure. November 21, 2021: Banks closed today due to Sunday.
November 22, 2021: According to the RBI public holiday list, banks will remain closed in Bengaluru on the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanthi.
November 23, 2021: Banks will remain closed in Shillong on the occasion of Seng Kutsnem.
Outside of the aforementioned dates, banks will also remain closed on November 21 and 28 due to Sundays and November 27, 2021 due to the fourth Saturday.
In addition, it can be noted that on November 22 and 23, banking operations will only remain closed in Bengaluru and Shillong, so people living in other parts of the country can visit their bank branches as they will remain open.
So far, the month of November has seen several public holidays due to the holiday season. Bakery services were closed on the occasion of Diwali, Bhai Duj / Chitragupt Jayanti / Laxmi Puja / Deepawali / Ningol Chakkouba, Chhath Puja // Surya Pashti Dala Chhath (Sayan ardhya), Guru Nanak Jayanti / Karthika Purnima, Kannada Rajyostsava and Kut, Naraka Chaturdashi and weekends.
While in the next month of December, banks will remain closed for 7 days on the occasion of the feast of St. Francis Xavier on December 3 in Panaji, anniversary of the death of U SoSo Tham on December 18 in Aizawl and Shillong , for Christmas on the 24th in Aizawl and Shillong and on 25th in all places except Bengaluru and Bhubaneswar.
Likewise, on December 27, banks will remain closed in Aizawl due to Christmas celebrations and on December 30 and 31, banks will remain closed due to U Kiang Nangbah and New Years Eve respectively.
