DraftKings Casino will bring new online games to West Virginia

DraftKings announced Friday the launch of new West Virginia online casino products for the state.

Starting Friday, DraftKings Casino will offer customers in West Virginia new live dealer games like Roulette, Baccarat, Infinite Blackjack and more, the company said in a press release.

Players at DraftKings in West Virginia will be able to compete against other patrons at table games, with each new online casino game having a live dealer, according to the release.

West Virginia is one of six states, along with Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, and Connecticut, to offer real money online casinos. Additionally, these six states, as well as Nevada, have legalized online poker.

DraftKings is affiliated in West Virginia with Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.

Rocket Available in WV

West Virginia players will also be able to play one of DraftKings most popular games, Rocket. An entirely in-house product, Rocket is a game of instincts that offers potential real-money wins in a shared multiplayer and interactive interface.

It is unlike any other product DraftKings Casino has to date and a game exclusive to DraftKings, according to the press release.

With over 500 games offered at DraftKings Casino, customers have the chance to win millions in prizes every month.

The press release adds that DraftKings is committed to creating “inclusive and responsible pathways for people to build, create, imagine and innovate through the DraftKings SERVES program.” The collective mission of the SERVES program is to protect vulnerable customers through leading-edge technology, training, resources, and support through evidence-based research.

West Virginia iGaming

West Virginia’s iGaming handle in April was $210.8 million, a figure that jumped to just over $213 million in May, although online gaming revenue during this period declined by 4.6% to $7.6 million, according to the West Virginia Lottery.

West Virginia’s online gaming landscape continues to grow with several companies joining the fold. PointsBet entered the fray in January, and BetMGM Casino struck a deal with Wizard Games in March to bring its iGaming products to West Virginia.
