Equity bank renews its online banking solutions

NAIROBI, Kenya, October 21 –Equity Bank has renamed its online banking offering, previously known as Eazzy Net, to Equity Online as part of the bank’s strategy to deliver a seamless customer experience across all banking channels.

In a statement, the bank said that as part of the update, the new platform will provide a unified service offering across all channels, an improved customer experience with simpler customer journeys, a fresh and user-friendly interface. .

In addition, the platform will offer more digital financial services such as the purchase of Mpesa floats, payment for parking, among others.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of digital banking and payment solutions by inspiring consumers to change their behaviors and adopt more technologies to help them in their daily lives in all aspects, including their finances” , the bank said.

Equity Group CEO and CEO James Mwangi said customer adoption of digital offerings will ease the pace of business transformation.

In addition, the bank has added new features to its mobile application and the USSD code * 247 #.

Customers doing transactions using the Equity Mobile app will now be able to select a specific transaction on the mini statement to view more details such as the name of the payee.

Customers using the USSD code * 247 # can now access the service at all telecom companies in Kenya and additionally apply for mobile loans such as Eazzy Loan.

Previously, the USSD code was only available on the Safaricom network, thus preventing customers of other telecommunications operators from accessing services. Customers can register themselves by dialing * 247 # on their mobile line.
