Evil forces attempt to brainwash, exploit children through online games, darknet: Kerala CM Pinarayi

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Wednesday that “the forces of evil” are “deliberately” trying to brainwash children through various platforms such as online games and the darknet and that strict action be taken was required against this.

In addition to taking action against such entities, whose intention is to exploit children and push them to extreme measures like suicide, there is a need to educate parents and children about the problems associated with these platforms, said the Chief Minister in response to a question in the Assembly on measures that can be taken to control the threat of online gambling.
He also said parents should be made aware of the dangers of such platforms and children should be counseled against such entities.

Vijayan said more and more children fall prey to these “evil forces” who attempt to enslave their minds and, in some cases, sexually exploit them.

He said the brainwashing and exploitation is an ongoing process and does not happen overnight.

The chief minister said that the help of international agencies or groups, which in this particular area, can be requested to find a solution.
