“Haryana to distribute free 8.6 lakh tablets for online education”

Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal said on Friday that the state government would distribute 8

Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal said on Friday that the state government will distribute 8.6 lakh tablets free to students for online education.

“Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar authorized our request to distribute these tablets to students in grades 8 to 12, as we are aware that those who study in public schools are economically weak and lagging behind in this mode of education.” , said the minister, addressing a press conference at his residence in Jagadhri.

He said Haryana is among the top states that have provided smooth online education for students over the past year.

“Online education was the only option we had left during last year’s lockdown, but we are in favor of continuing online education in the future,” said Pal, an MP at the headquarters of Jagadhri in Yamunanagar.

Regarding the apprehensions raging about the Class 12 board exams, he said: “In a meeting with the Union government, we explained that the state is ready to organize exams by doubling home school exam centers. We are prepared for a three hour exam and those who are isolated due to Covid-19 will have another chance. “

Pal spoke of the “control of social media applications” via new IT rules and said there should be control on these platforms because “absolute freedom of speech is not good for society” .
