Hundreds of NatWest and RBS customers have already reported issues using their online banking services, with issues starting around 9:30 am today and some unable to log in at all

NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland customers cannot access online banking services due to a computer outage this morning.
Hundreds of users have reported connection issues, according to the DownDetector website.
About 1,000 people reported issues with NatWest and 40 with RBS, with about 50% of customers having issues with the apps and 50% having issues with the website.
Users started recording the issue around 9:30 am today.
Users of the NatWest app receive an error message when attempting to connect, stating: “We’re sorry, an error occurred while trying to establish a connection between your device and us. -same. “
NatWest’s clients quickly took to social media to find out what was going on.
One user reported that he was unable to use the NatWest app:
The problem affects two large banks belonging to the NatWest group – NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland.
The group also owns banks, including Ulster Bank and Coutt’s the Queen’s Bank, which were not affected by the blackout.
Other NatWest users have said they cannot access its online banking service.
One said: “@NatWest_Help try to log into Natwest Bankline and it won’t load at all. Need to access it ASAP .. Any idea in time, it will be corrected.
A spokesperson for NatWest told the Mirror: “Mobile banking is now operating normally and we apologize for the inconvenience. “
The bank also sent messages on social media to say the issue was now resolved.
What to do if you are blocked on your account
If you are unable to access your NatWest or RBS app, some users report that they can use online banking without issues.
If you cannot access either, you can call NatWest customer service on 03457 888 444 or locate your nearest physical branch here.
The NatWest group was previously the RBS group, but it renamed in July 2020 distance yourself from the legacy of the 2008 financial crash.
RBS almost collapsed after the crisis and was bailed out by the government.
For several years, RBS was in deficit and paid no dividends, while remaining majority owned by the state.
The Royal Bank of Scotland was founded in Edinburgh in 1727.
In 2011, she created the world’s first fully functional banking app.
Today the bank employs nearly 12,000 people and serves 1.8 million individual customers and over 110,000 business customers across the UK.
The bank’s 20 mobile branches serve around 650 communities in Scotland.
Last month, a computer crash hit the UK’s largest banking group. Customers of Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland are all had trouble accessing their accounts.
In January, a computer crash hit TSB bank, and hundreds of TSB customers were found unable to access their money.
Customers on social media said the bank’s app and online banking website were both down, preventing them from making payments and handling transactions.
