Kolkata: The Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Wednesday showcased two online mobile games in Kolkata which have been specially designed to ring in and celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. The games, available on Play Store, should be a treasure trove of information not only for history students but even for school children as both have been developed in an interactive format.
Azadi Quest games are available for Android and iOS devices in English and Hindi. The information in these apps has been curated by the Publications Division (I&B Ministry) and the Indian Council of Historical Research (IIHR). BIP DG (East) Bhupendra Kainthola said the games are in line with the government’s efforts to recognize the contributions of our freedom fighters and unsung heroes to achieving independence.
“The Azadi Quest series will impart knowledge of India’s freedom struggle and the legends of the country’s great freedom fighters, thereby inducing in players a sense of pride and a sense of duty,” he said. he declares. The first game, Azadi Quest: Match 3 Puzzle, introduces players to India’s journey of independence from 1857 to 1947. On the other hand, Azadi Quest: Heroes of Bharat is designed as a quiz game to test players’ knowledge of Indian independence heroes through 750 questions.
