(Pocket-lint) – Sony has unveiled a nice little holiday bonus for players who don’t have a PlayStation Plus membership, in the form of a Free Multiplayer Play Weekend this coming weekend on the 18th. and December 19.
While the weekend doesn’t mean you get free access to all the games you don’t own, it will allow you to start with any multiplayer games you haven’t been able to access yet, giving you a few days from PlayStation Plus.

PlayStation’s marketing around the event includes Call of Duty: Vanguard and FIFA 22, among others, but the reality is you can use access on any title, as long as it offers multiplayer.
Sony is probably hoping that many people will give the service a try and be convinced enough to keep it on a paid plan after the weekend is over. This would also, of course, allow them access to the monthly free games that PlayStation offers, as well as the various additional discounts and in-game bonuses that PlayStation Plus gives you as well.
