Online and mobile banking services unavailable. Online transfers made since May 15 delayed.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — VyStar Credit Union’s online and mobile banking system went down Friday and was still not working for members Thursday afternoon.
VyStar said in a statement that the outage, which was due to end on Sunday, was due to technical issues with changes to its system and assured members that their information had not been compromised.
On Thursday, Joel Swanson, director of member experience at Vystar Credit Union, said testing and preparation had been done to avoid such issues, but “unfortunately real-world behavior presented some unforeseen challenges.” .
“While we want to quickly deliver a new online banking experience to members, we must first ensure that the platform accurately reflects data from our core systems,” Swanson said. “We are exploring all options and working hard to get you the online access you need in the fastest way possible.”
Swanson says Vystar’s management team is working as quickly as possible to bring a new banking platform online. The company is also waiving Vystar fees for members during this time.
Online and mobile banking services are currently not available. Also, online transfers made since May 15 are delayed.
