Why the online banking and app stopped working this morning and if this has been fixed

Natwest customers struggled to access their online banking services this morning, both through the Natwest app and website.

The problems started shortly after 7 a.m. with thousands recording issues with the Downdetector fault tracker.

Customers said they were unable to log in or access banking information. Many have come across an error message that read: “An error occurred while trying to establish a connection between your device and ourselves.”

People are complaining about the problem on social media. One customer wrote on Twitter: “Come on Natwest your system is down, it’s not daylight, people need to refuel gas and power, it’s freezing outside your app, so are services. online banking. So fed up with your lousy system.

Has the problem been resolved

Natwest issued a statement saying the issue is now resolved. “We understand that some customers may have encountered issues with our mobile app and some other services this morning,” he said.

“We have now fixed the problem and service is back to normal. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

However, many customers still report that they cannot access their banking services online.

I contacted Natwest for comment.
